Why isn't DC leading the superhero franchise!!

DC Comics, was the leading industry when it comes to the comic book back in the days. It's not that DC doesn't have good superheroes. Batman and Superman are the property of DC comics which is the first name that comes to mind when we think of superheroes.
By far there are only two blockbusters in DC namely Superwomen and Batman: The Dark Knight.
We got to see the legendary Joker played by Heath Ledger who was rewarded and appreciated a lot for his outstanding performance. So why isn's DC the best of all?

The direction and screenplay:

Maybe the direction which is a part which plays a crucial role in the success of a film. But a good director can do nothing if screenplay and writing aren't as good as expected by the audience. Green Lantern, which was played by the trend breaking actor known as Deadpool today, the movie still couldn't do so well at the box office which is clear to say that audience didn't like the movie so much. We are hearing about the costumes and all but I think that is a secondary thing.

Frequent change in actor portraying a role:

How many actors have you seen playing as Batman in last 10 years? Simply, many. While on other hands Marvel somehow manages to cast the same actor like the Robert Downey Jr. for Iron Man for 10 years straight. This is something to be learned from Marvel.

Well talking about the Justice League, it couldn't be a big box office hit because they introduced too many new characters in it and giving justice to each of character is a big role in any movie, which they failed. Marvel did it pretty well with Avengers and is still going on.
